The resort is situated in a stunning location by the river, providing breathtaking views and a peaceful environment for relaxation. While the staff is exceptionally helpful, the dining experience leaves a bit to be desired with food that lacks variety and warmth. The rooms are clean but quite small, with limited amenities. Overall, it's a charming place if you're focused on the natural beauty surrounding you.

Situated right next to the river, the location offers mesmerizing views and is conveniently placed between Paro town and major attractions like the Tiger's Nest monastery.

The dining experience was underwhelming; the food lacked variety and was often served lukewarm.

My stay was truly delightful, especially after the other locations we visited. Surrounded by breathtaking nature, this resort really brought out the beauty of Bhutan. While the rooms felt a bit outdated and showed some wear, they were still quite spacious and provided a calming view of the river. The food here was absolutely the best I had during my entire trip. The ambiance is peaceful, and the staff was incredibly warm and pleasant. However, the service could have been quicker during peak hours, which was a slight letdown.

The resort is beautifully situated near a flowing river and surrounded by greenery, which adds to its charm, but it's a bit remote from town.
Dining

Dining here was a highlight; the food was fantastic and the best I had in Bhutan, though the breakfast could use some improvement.

I enjoyed a pleasant stay surrounded by beautiful gardens and views of the nearby river, although the hotel is quite a bit away from town. The rooms had a charming cottage-style design, but they felt slightly outdated and the amenities could use improvement. Dining was better than average compared to other places we tried in Bhutan, but it also lacked variety and flavor at times. Overall, the hotel offers a decent experience, particularly for its atmosphere, but dining and the need for improvements in room facilities could enhance the visit further.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were cottage-style with a charming touch, but they felt a bit old and not uniform in size. The amenities were basic, and I had to wait a long time for hot water in the shower.
Service
8.0
The service was attentive and the staff really went out of their way to assist us during our stay.
Location
7.0
The location is beautiful, set along the river with lovely walks in the garden, but it's quite a distance from the center, making evening outings challenging without transport.
Dining
6.0
While the dining options were plentiful and we even enjoyed a few standout dishes, the overall quality was inconsistent, with some meals lacking warmth and flavor.
Facilities

Facilities included a spa, but I found it a bit far from my room and the steam bath was not functional during my stay.

My stay at Kichu Resort in Paro was a mix of wonderful experiences and a few drawbacks. The setting by the river is stunning, and the rooms offer a charming touch, though they do show some signs of age. Service was generally helpful, but the food did leave room for improvement, mostly catering to bland tourist tastes. Overall, it’s a decent place with great views and a tranquil atmosphere; just be prepared for some little issues.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were clean and charming, though a bit dated. The view from the cottage rooms is truly lovely, and the sound of the river adds a tranquil touch. However, I did experience a defective heater during my stay, which wasn't quite ideal.
Service

I found the staff to be polite and eager to help, engaging well with our needs, which is always a plus. Their positive attitude certainly helped enhance the experience.
Location

The resort is located about 5 km out of Paro, nestled in a beautifully landscaped area along the river. It provides a peaceful retreat but feels a bit far from the main attractions.
Dining
6.0
While the dining facilities were adequate, the food lacked the authentic flavors I was hoping for. The breakfast was quite basic, and I hoped for more variety and local cuisine.
Facilities
7.0
The resort features nice open areas, and there’s a spa which could offer a relaxing experience, though it can be a bit distant from some rooms. However, it feels somewhat limited in its offerings.

The resort has a stunning location by the river with breathtaking views, but unfortunately, the dining experience was quite disappointing, lacking variety and flavor. The rooms were comfortable but had some issues with heating and bed size. Overall, it's a lovely spot for nature lovers, but be prepared for some shortcomings in amenities and food quality.

Rooms

The rooms were large and clean, but we encountered a defective room heater and had to deal with twin beds that weren't ideal for our family.
Service
7.0
Service was generally positive, though we felt the staff struggled to address some of the issues we faced during our stay.
Location
9.0
The location is breathtaking, nestled between the river and the mountains providing an amazing view, but it is quite remote from other dining options.
Dining

Dining was very basic and lacked flavor, with limited options and not enough attention to detail.

The resort has beautiful gardens and a bonfire area, but overall, its facilities are quite basic and could use improvement.
